In addition to sharing our knowledge of WordPress with the community, we also develop websites and blogs on the WordPress platform as part of our work at illuminea, and have been doing so for over three years. WordPress is our platform of choice due to its low learning curve for our clients, its search engine and social media friendliness, and development flexibility.
We’ve built over forty sites on WordPress for clients from a range of fields including hi-tech, financial, and non-profit. The types of sites include regular blogs and/or corporate sites, as well as custom platforms and features based on the client’s needs. For example, we recently built a site for a client that needed a private login area for their own clients; we gave them per-page control over the header images, sidebar images, and other parts of the page; we implemented an Ajax scrolling gallery of logos that they have complete control over.
